Sunday the 27th of June 2021

Due to the urgent nature of this information I am issuing a General Notice to all staff so that you have the necessary information as soon as possible.
I appreciate this is a difficult time for us all but rest assured the club will be doing everything we can to support you at this time.

RE: Temporary Shut-Down

I am writing to advise you that Woonona Bulli RSL (the Club) is required to temporarily shut-down due to the stay-at-home orders issued by the NSW Government. At this stage the expected closure dates (the shut-down period) is from Saturday the 26th of June at 6pm until Friday the 9th of July at 11:59pm.
We anticipate we will be re-opening on Saturday the 10th of July.

During the shut-down period, you will not be required to attend work as the Club is unable to provide useful employment. This period will be unpaid in accordance with section 524 of the Fair Work Act 2009.

There will be a small skeleton staff who will continue working, mostly remotely to keep things moving in the background and to prepare for re-opening. Any staff required to assist with any work during the shut-down period will be contacted by me (the General Manager) directly to discuss what is required and how the work will need to be carried out.

If you would like to access any of your accrued annual leave or long service leave during the shut-down period please contact Di Denner via or myself via
You may also choose to take this leave at half pay, if you wish.

If you have any concerns during the shut-down period, please do not hesitate to contact me via email on
We also have our Employee Assistance Program which is available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  This free Counselling Service can be reached on 1300 727 308.

Yours sincerely,

Michael Brennan
General Manager
Woonona Bulli RSL Club
